To get MBBS from M V J Medical College And Research Hospital provides undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various streams with highly qualified faculties. M V J Medical College And Research Hospital offers a MBBS program having a duration of 4.5 years along with 1 year internship. After passing the final MBBS examination students must have temporary registration from Karnataka Medical Council and full registration after completing one year internship. The total intake for the programme is 100 seats. The eligibility criteria for securing a seat for the MBBS course are:

The college has modern academic facilities including well lit, spacious airconditioned class rooms, modern seating system and state of the art audiovisual aids. To enhance the learning process, classrooms have 3D projection software to visualize and understand the complex processes in medicine. College boasts of 3 auditoriums (seating capacity of 200-1000) equipped with modern audiovisual aids to conduct seminars , conferences , CMEs and workshops. Laboratories are well equipped for teaching practical aspects of subjects. Departments have museums pertaining to respective subjects which are curated and catalogued so that students can utilize them for self-directed learning. The college has its own teaching hospital with adequate infrastructure, clinical material and staff. Students are also exposed to primary and secondary healthcare through outreach facilities. The examination hall is very spacious, adequately equipped and secured for conducting University examinations. It has inbuilt secretarial services.

The Central Library and information service is located in an independent block which is one of the repositories of medical knowledge and forms an integral part of the institution. The library is an amalgamation of traditional collection of books and digital library in the form of CDs, DVDs and other digital formats. With dedicated Library staff, the library is serving the medical user community with the right medical information at right time. MVJMC&RH Library recognized the importance of textbooks and reference materials in higher education since its inception and is trying to extend the best to its users. Like everything else, the Residential Accommodation at MVJ Medical College & Research Hospital is distinctive. The gender-segregated ‘homes away from home’ are Wi-Fi enabled and offer comfortable accommodation with separate Reading Rooms and TV Viewing Rooms. There are 500 air-conditioned and well-furnished rooms, that come with TV, refrigerator and attached bathrooms with 24-hour hot water facility. Generators ensure uninterrupted power. Separate wings have been created for Interns and Nurses, while Teaching and Non-teaching staff have their own Residential Quarters within the campus.
Dining
The spacious Canteen with elegant ambience offers hygienic and wholesome North Indian and South Indian vegetarian cuisine to all residents. The menu is changed on a daily basis to avoid monotony. During off- canteen hours, the cheerful Cafeteria is also available to address the gastronomic needs. Here, over some healthy snacks and a cup of coffee, students exchange notes, discuss case studies and build strong bonds.
Skill Lab
MVJMC&RH has established a clinical skill lab to train undergraduates and Postgraduates on certain clinical skills which when practiced on Manikins will improve quality of performing skills on patients. It is adequately equipped and staffed for meeting this requirement. College is in the process of upgrading the skill labs to simulation based skill labs

For the convenience of students and faculty staying off-campus, MVJ Medical college and Research hospital has a fleet of 10 buses that ferry them to and fro. The buses traverse the city and suburbs and routes are planned to provide maximum convenience to students and staff. Additionally, the college is also well connected to the BMTC bus services and a major metro station that is located few kms away from the campus is under commission.
